Hi, I'm Jayne.

I am starting up 'recorder jam' on a Tuesday after school at 'The Jam House' in Lincoln Crescent, Biggleswade to give local children the opportunity to learn music in a fun group environment. We'll learn the basics (which end to blow in and what holes to cover!) and before you know it we'll be jamming along to some backing tracks!

The group is suitable for complete beginners, roughly age 5 + (so school years 1, 2, 3 and 4). Bring a recorder if you have one, otherwise I have plenty of spares for your little jammers to use. I would also welcome any parents / carers who want to learn from scratch joining in with us too!

I recently retired from All Saints Academy but I am not ready to give up teaching yet! I have always taught music; within schools, privately and as recorder bands... and I love it. I have over 40 years experience (but don't tell anyone because that'd be revealing my age!) and have received an award from Shefford council for my services to local music.
